About Myself

DSC01963

Professionally I am an advocate practicing in Delhi Courts. I passed out in 2011 and started working with a Company. However, after a passage of time, I found the work very monotonous and repetitive and started to feel like a clerk rather than a lawyer. In the meantime, when the feeling of being a clerk was transpiring throughout me, I met with a major accident which sent me on a long desired vacation.

During the unplanned but dearly desired vacation, I had plenty of time to introspect myself and what I was doing in my life. I realized that I did not wish to adhere to the conventional form of lifestyle of 9 to 6 job and sleeping throughout the day on weekends. I had always loved watching travel and food shows on Fox Traveler, National Geographic, NDTV Good times and other similar channels. I always envied the luck and opportunity the anchors and other crew members of the travel shows had. They have the chance to travel to most exotic and beautiful locations of the world, experience different cultures, interact with people, enjoys delicious and mouth watering cuisines and the list goes on.

To be honest, I started day dreaming of travelling to different places, browsed many websites offering pretty travel plans but failed in executing any of my plans just like our government fails to implement any laws and policies on ground. In fact, I never tried to take any positive steps which would bring me closer to my plans.

Finally the vacation came to end and I was again buzzed with long list of question from my family and friends about the job and future plans. Even I felt the importance of earning livelihood and having stability in life and keeping all this in mind I again joined a law firm with an aim to excel in my career. This time the work was not monotonous and repetitive like the earlier one. I got the chance to visit courts, argue in some matters and also practically tried my hand at some of the long heard methods of getting work done at the courts. Although everything was going well, I still was not happy with my life. I felt like a trapped rat in cage who got lured by the aspiration to meet the common expectations of myself and loved ones.

Many a times my inner conscious also questions me about my decisions and the way I am leading my life. I am puzzled whether I am moving in a right direction or I need to change the course.

Amidst all these unanswered questions, I have decided to create this blog to pen down my travel experiences whatever little they may be. This is the first positive attempt made by me to move closer to my long desired plans. I shall also continue with my profession as an advocate and also simultaneously writing on this blog.

Since, I have been in Delhi for the past few years and still oblivious about its ravishing history and places, I plan to start my travelogues with my experiences in Delhi.

I hope that readers will appreciate and like my travelogues as this shall keep me going.

  6. HI!

Just came across your blog and visited this about page. From my experience I’d like to put across something. It is always good to listen to your inner voice which you have done by starting this blog because you don’t want to complete 60 years and then think that “Probably I could have done this”. More or less I have been in a similar situation. I am an engineer and after having worked for about 10 years with industries I have quit my engineering to make a career in travel industry. And yes I have been to Delhi many times, I love that city and it surely deserves a blog dedicated to it. I wish that your blog achieves resounding success. Happy blogging!

  7. Hi

I like your about page. There are many things to capture the moment. For example the court near Barakhamba road, next to police station where lawyers sit and do things is a very good place to take pics and write in your blog. These people sit there under sheds. Don’t you think that is a place to take photo?

I can give you more hints if you want to and it is not only the history of Delhi.

There is a passage way(subway to cross street underground) in front of Wimpy at Connaught Place. There I used to see a beggar with twisted legs. I remember seeing him for many years.

Could you still find him and write about him on your blog?

I would like to read your comments about my comments.

    Regards.
